A Brief History of Yeey Slides

Summer is in full swing. We go on vacation and look for footwear that is breathable, comfortable and we want it to look good. The answer may be one, and that is Yeezy Slides.

They are definitely one of the hottest models of the last two years. This is due to their wide color palette and incredible comfort that gives you the feeling of walking on clouds. But did you know that they looked a little different in the beginning?

The Origins of Yeezy Flip Flops

The first flip-flops debuted in 2018. They were called Yeezy Slipper and were part of Kanye’s brand collection, Yeezy Season 6. Kanye even wore them to the wedding of rapper 2Chainz, which was not without controversy. He was criticized for saying the flip-flops were too small on him and looked bad.

Kanye replied that they are modeled after the Japanese style, where it is the heel that should stick out beyond the flip-flops one to two centimeters.

Yeezy Slides debut

A year later, that is, in April 2019, collaboration Yeezy Slides in collaboration with Adidas were already on the horizon. It’s a model that’s still with us today, and every few months we get new releases of them. The first three colors they appeared in were Bone, Earth Brown and Resin.

It was also the only launch where we could see the Bone color scheme. Since then, not once has this color had a restock. The color palette of the flip-flops is really wide. We can choose from neon orange, black, brown, white or green. Anyway, take a look at the graphic below.
