Classic Nike Air Force One
The Nike Air Force One is a classic model from Nike that is known around the world – especially for those familiar with streetwear culture.Their name sounds just like the United States Air Force units.
The most popular models of this series are the Nike Air Force 1 07 All White and Triple White. These models find approval from celebrities such as Jay-Z. The shoes are characterized by great comfort.
In support of the Nike Air Force 1 series, rapper Nelly created the Air Force Ones track. The upper is a legendary shape that goes with any outfit. At Sneakers Joint, we carry both men’s and women’s pairs, so there’s something for everyone.
Limited and unique Air Force 1
The Air Force 1 debuted in 1982 in a high-top version. It was the first basketball shoe from Nike to implement the Air system. The Air Force 1’s advertising slogan was “Air will be sold in a box.” A year later, the Air Force 1 Low version was introduced into circulation.
In 1984, the shoe was to retire. Nike was to introduce the “Next- Big Thing” in the basketball world.
Contributing to the Air Force 1 model’s survival in the market were the stores selling the sneakers in Baltimore, namely Downtown Locker Room, Cinderella Shoes and Charley Rudo Sports, Air Force. They were the ones that nurtured the longevity and sales of this model.
The Air Force 1 sold so well there that when they heard about plans to take the model off sale, they decided to fly to Oregon together. That’s where the Nike headquarters were, and still are today. Together, the said stores came up with a sales report and a customer acquisition plan.
The campaign was called “Color of the Month.” It consisted of releasing a special Air Force 1 colorway each month, exclusive to the Baltimore region. Since Nike had no major sales in other cities, it agreed to the idea.
