History of the Air Jordan 2

The Air Jordan 2 were originally released in 1987 and were designed by Bruce Kilgore. They were made in Italy and had an upper made of genuine Italian leather. The Air Jordan Wings logo is clearly visible on the tongue. This is the second model, from the same collection.

It was an important step for promoting the Air Jordan brand despite Michael’s injury in the third game of the second season. MJ then suffered a fracture injury to his left foot. However, this did not stop the production of the new Air Jordan 2 model.
